Federal Student Aid is pleased to announce that our E-Training website will be updated on July 1st.

New Features

Learning Tracks
As an aid administrator, we understand that you have small increments of time you can devote to your online training. Instead of comprehensive course offerings, you will be able to access specific learning tracks that target Title IV programs and subjects in much shorter modules and lessons.

Examples of some of these tracks include Pell Grants, Direct Loans, and R2T4. Furthermore, these tracks will provide isolated training on credit-hour or clock-hour programs related to your specific school programs. We will be releasing tracks to address specific areas such as Satisfactory Academic Progress, Campus-Based Programs, Common Origination and Disbursements (COD) as well as the NSLDSFAP systems.

Dashboards

A new link to your own personal dashboard will be available. This dashboard will:

  • display courses you have previously taken
  • courses you are currently enrolled in
  • a record of learning
  • learning plans that you or your supervisor develop

Search Function
Learners will be able to search for courses by typing in a subject or topic into a search tool.
Fundamentals Workshops

A “real-time” display for current workshops will provide a summary of locations, seats available, and waitlist levels in order to assist you with your training plans.

Questions and Answers
What will happen to all of my training records and profile information?
All of your completed training records will be available in our new system. Your profile information will remain the same and you can update it at any time.

I am currently enrolled in one of the FSA Coach Suite courses, the Introduction to Federal Student Aid course or another course on the E-Training website. What will happen to my progress?

You will need to complete these courses in their entirety by June 26th at 11:59 pm.
These courses (with the exception of Introduction to Federal Student Aid and Coach Basic for Foreign Schools – see below) will no longer appear in the new training system. Instead, they will be available as learning tracks.

The Introduction to Federal Student Aid course will be renamed FSA Coach Fundamentals and will serve as the online, pre-requisite course for the Fundamentals Workshops. This will be the only comprehensive course available on the new website.

What about certificates I have obtained through the various courses I have completed?
All courses that you have successfully completed will be displayed on your “Record of Learning” link found on your personal dashboard.

Will I need to type in a new website location or URL after July 1?
No. The same bookmark or favorites link you used for this website will remain the same.

Will there be any help tools or website tours that we can view to navigate this new website?
Yes, there will be a help desk link and short site tours to help you with experiencing this new website.
