A blow to DeVos as Obama-era Loan Regulation upheld in Federal Court

The Borrower-Defense rule was upheld by a Washington federal court judge on Wednesday ruling the department’s postponement was procedurally improper.   U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss wrote in a 57-page opinion that the department deprived plaintiffs “of several concrete benefits that they would have otherwise accrued”.  The judge set a hearing date for this Friday to consider remedies.
