From June 24 to June 27, 2019, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) will be hosting its annual national conference in Orlando, Florida. NASFAA states that almost 2,300 financial aid professionals will be in attendance, where they will have the opportunity to network as well as learn and teach about practices and developments across the industry.
Speakers will include best-selling author Steve Pemberton, Mark A. Brown of the Department of Education, and speaking on student mental health, Barbara Blacklock of the University of Minnesota. Topics discussed at the conference will not only include the administration of financial aid (such as loans) and the advising of students, but technological issues such as automation and data security as well.
