The FAFSA4caster is a tool for families not yet ready to submit a FAFSA form, such as high school juniors and sophomores. However, starting Sept. 27, 2020, FAFSA4caster will no longer be available.
Federal Student Aid (FSA) is taking steps toward improving the way students, parents, and borrowers interact with our resources and access the benefits of the programs we administer. FSA determined that the current FAFSA4caster doesn’t meet those needs and are working to create a new tool. There is no time frame for the new tool’s release.
Institutions can share university-specific planning information with students. Students can also be sent to StudentAid.gov/resources to view electronic versions of publications, fact sheets, and other materials to help them prepare and pay for college.
