Ann Becker-Alexandrino is the Executive Assistant for College Aid Services. Ann supports the administrative staff and College Aid Services team, handling the administrative duties, projects, and requests to assist with workloads. She joined the higher education industry in various administrative roles, after a 25-year career with a corporate biomedical company.
Throughout her time in higher education, Ann worked with students and staff in all areas of student services. Students would often follow up with Ann after their issue was resolved to thank her for being a part of the solution and a part of their accomplishments. These moments were her most rewarding achievements in her career. When asked what advice she would give someone starting in higher education, Ann responded “Learn all you can as all parts intertwine. Student success equates to the success of the institution. Being a part of that is a rewarding feeling. No matter the role or the department, it’s all about students first.”
Ann recently joined College Aid Services after life circumstances caused her to look for other opportunities. The leadership team of College Aid Services “are extremely supportive and make the obstacles of being a new employee in a remote environment very easy to overcome. Their direction and training are informative and helpful to understand the culture and my duties.”
Ann received an associate degree in General Business from Miami Dade College. After 42 years of continually pursuing her educational aspirations, Ann accomplished a life-long goal and earned her Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Supervision and Management from Miami Dade College. “I hope I inspired others along the way to never give up on persevering and obtain what is important. It’s not always easy, but it is worth it in the end to finally be able to say ‘I did it!’”
