Sara Reese is a Senior Consultant at College Aid Services. As a Senior Consultant, she uses her expertise to assist clients with customized solutions utilizing data analysis, reporting and compliance. Sara also creates and presents on different financial aid topics, including her recent webinars on verification, student eligibility, and financial aid administrators’ toolkit.
Sara started as a Financial Aid Advisor and was promoted quickly due to her ability to quickly grasp her financial aid responsibilities, ultimately becoming the Director of Financial Aid within three years. Sara joined College Aid Services to leverage her experience in order to help others be successful. When asked what advice she will give a new person starting in Financial Aid, Sara said: “Treat every student or parent you come into contact as you would want to have been treated. Take the extra time to explain to the student and parent.”
Outside of her professional work, Sara volunteers extensively with the American Cancer Society. She volunteered with the American Cancer Society off and on throughout her life, but when she lost her mom to pancreatic cancer in 2013, her perspective changed, and she started taking on bigger roles and volunteer opportunities with the organization. Sara currently serves on the Event Leadership team for both the Palm Beach County Relay for Life and Palm Beach County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events. She is a member of the on-site logistics team at this event for the Palm Beach County Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event, which will be on Saturday, October 15, 2022.
The 2022 Palm Beach County Relay for Life will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2022, at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach. Sara is a member of the Survivors and Caregivers team for Relay for Life. A portion of the event will honor survivors and caregivers with a meal, games, and activities, and a special place for them to spend the day getting massages and their nails done as a small way to honor them for the fight they are going through or the support they provide.
Sara’s team name for fundraising is always Pam’s Warriors in honor of my mom’s battle with cancer. “She may have lost her battle, but I raise funds annually so that someday we can know a world where cancer is beatable and we can identify it in earlier stages and give those we love a fighting chance.”

Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Science in Management from Trevecca Nazarene University.
