What has changed in Volume 6?

Chapter 1: Campus-Based Programs Common Elements

  • Added and updated hyperlinks throughout chapter for regulatory citations and other references.
  • Updated FISAP process deadline dates.
  • Described COD XML Schema used for reporting 2023 Federal Work-Study program data to COD, beginning summer, 2024.
  • Detailed sunset of CARES Act provisions for Emergency Aid Grants and Temporary Expansion of Federal Work Study Transfer Authority.
  • Guidance added on the sunset of CARES Act waiver of nonfederal matching share requirements.
  • Citizens of the Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands have their eligibility reinstated for FSEOG & FWS for 2024-25, due to the elimination of the Supplemental Education Grants (SEG).

Chapter 2: The Federal Work-Study Program

  • FWS Community Service waiver procedures detailed for the 2024-25 award year.
  • CARES Act FWS flexibilities section updated for 2024-25 to reflect sunset provisions.
