The Department of Education continues to update the “Technical Frequently Asked Questions and Known Issues” to address issues for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 FAFSA applications. According to the FAQ, there are currently 4 open issues and 2 that have been resolved.
Open Issues
- ISIRs delivered with blank SAIs and no reject code
- Unable to verify Reject 35 in FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP)
- FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP) is not setting verified fields correctly
- SAI is blank on a small number of production ISIRs.
Resolved Issues
- Conflicting information is created when FTI and manually reported non-filer status exist on the same ISIR
- FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP) incorrectly displays an error when Untaxed Portions of Pensions and/or Untaxed Portions of IRA Distributions are changed to 0
