The U.S. Department of Education, through Federal Student Aid (FSA), has issued a notice in the Federal Register (dated August 6, 2025) seeking public comments on the extension of an existing information collection—specifically, the Foreign Graduate Medical School Consumer Information Reporting Form.
This form serves as a key tool for foreign graduate medical institutions participating in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (under Title IV of the Higher Education Act). It requires these institutions to report important consumer information—such as on-time completion rates and student debt levels—for U.S. students. Certification by a high-level official (e.g., President, CEO, or Chancellor) is required.
The current request proposes an extension without any changes to the collection process. The administrative burden is estimated at 24 annual responses and 384 total burden hours.
Public comments are invited on or before October 6, 2025.
