On August 15, 2025, the Department of Education issued a notice requesting a 60‑day public comment period for an extension without change of its existing information collection request (ICR) tied to the FFEL Program regulations.
Interested persons are invited to submit comments on or before October 14, 2025.
“The Department of Education (the Department) is requesting an extension without change for the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program regulations. There have been no changes to the regulatory language and we are requesting an extension of the most recent burden assessed.”
