Federal Student Aid (FSA) has released a new E-App User Reference Guide to support institutions completing the Title IV Participation Application, also known as the E-App. This new resource provides detailed instructions for navigating the E-App and understanding reporting requirements.
The E-App, available through FSA Partner Connect, is the primary tool institutions use to manage their participation in federal student aid programs. Schools use it to apply for initial eligibility, recertification, reinstatement, and changes in ownership. It is also required when updating institutional information or reporting changes.
Institutions must submit updates through the E-App for a variety of changes, including name or address updates, new locations or programs, changes in institutional officials, or increases in educational offerings. Staying current with these updates is critical for maintaining compliance and eligibility.
The new reference guide is designed to walk users through each section of the application with step by step support. It serves as a valuable companion to the system itself, especially for more complex updates or less frequently completed sections.

Financial aid and compliance professionals should consider bookmarking the guide as a go to resource when completing or updating their E-App.
