FSA has announced the availability of Volumes 1 and 9 of the 2026–2027 Federal Student Aid Handbook. These volumes discuss the following:
Volume 1: Student Eligibility discusses the eligibility requirements for student and parent federal student aid recipients and financial aid administrators’ responsibilities to ensure that recipients qualify for their aid awards.
Volume 9: The TEACH Grant Program describes the eligibility requirements for a student to receive a Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant, the required counseling for recipients, the terms and conditions of the service obligation, and the calculation of awards.
