Federal Student Aid’s 2026 active confirmation period opened October 2. All organizations must verify user access by December 31, 2026, to maintain access to FSA systems and Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) mailboxes.
The annual review covers online services, including COD, NSLDS, the FAFSA Partner Portal, FSA Partner Connect, eZ-Audit, eCDR Appeals, and EDconnect, along with SAIG batch services.
Who must complete the review?
- Primary and Secondary Administrators review, validate, or remove users’ access to SAIG mailboxes and associated online services.
- Eligibility and Oversight (E&O) Administrators and Alternate E&O Administrators review, validate, or remove E&O access.
Administrators complete the process in FSA Partner Connect by selecting the profile icon, opening the Account Access Management Center, and choosing Active Confirmation.
A new bulk option allows administrators to validate or remove multiple users simultaneously. Each user’s access needs must still be reviewed carefully. Access must be removed for former employees and anyone who no longer requires it.
Missing the deadline will result in user deactivation, disrupting services such as ISIR delivery, FAFSA corrections, and NSLDS enrollment reporting.
The FSA announcement includes a step-by-step job aid and support resources.
