The Department of Education has released an updated version of the NSLDS Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) User Guide, provides instructions and guidance for complying with the FVT/GE reporting requirements via the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS®).
What has changed?
- Volume 1 – FVT/GE Student Submittal Reporting. The information in this volume describes how to report FVT/GE student information to NSLDS via the batch process and online (web and spreadsheet submittal). The volume has been updated for clarity and to provide expanded instructions. Minor updates to the file layout have also been made. Refer to the Change Log at the beginning of the document for further information.
The following volumes remain unchanged:
- Introduction – This section provides a basic overview of the FVT/GE processes.
- Volume 2 – FVT/GE Program Submittal Reporting – This volume describes how to report FVT/GE program information to NSLDS via the batch process and online (web and spreadsheet submittal).
- Volume 3 – FVT/GE Completers List – The information in this volume describes the process for the FVT/GE Completers List.
A future update will provide Volume 4, which will be the final volume of the user guide.
- Volume 4 – FVT/GE D/E Rate and EP Measures – The information in this volume describes the process for how D/E rates and EP measures are calculated and viewed.
