Federal Student Aid

A registration lottery has opened for the 2026 Federal Student Aid Training Conference being held on March 4–6, 2026 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

Due to having a limited number of seats at the conference site, schools may submit only one entry for the lottery.  As a reminder, all sessions will be recorded and made available for those unable to attend.

How to Join the Lottery

If your school would like to attend the in-person conference, one representative from your school will need to complete the lottery submission form.

Only one representative from each six-digit OPEID may submit a form. FSA will not accept duplicate entries.

Submitting the form lets FSA know that your school is interested in attending; it does not guarantee that a spot will be available.

Interested schools must complete the form by Jan. 23, 2026 to be entered into the lottery.

How will you be Notified if Selected

On or before Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, FSA will notify both selected and non-selected schools of their status. FSA will send the notification to the email address that was provided on the lottery submission form.

Selected schools will receive a confirmation email with the subject “YOU ARE IN! CONFERENCE ADMISSION CONFIRMATION.” If your school is selected, this email is confirmation of your school’s registration.

If your school is not selected, FSA will send an email with the subject “UPDATE ON YOUR LOTTERY SUBMISSION.”

Cancellations and Updates

If your school is selected but needs to decline, please notify FSA as soon as possible by following the instructions in the confirmation email. FSA will then offer the space to another school based on the established lottery process.

If your school is selected but needs to change the name of the representative who will attend the conference, please follow the instructions in the confirmation email to make the update.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

For more information about the conference, including more detail about the lottery and registration, refer to the “Conference FAQs” area on the FSA Training Conference website. FSA will continue to update the FAQs as needed.
