Federal Student Aid opened Phase 2 registration for its December 2026 Training Conference on October 28, earlier than the previously announced November 2 opening date. The update expands registration to additional school representatives and the broader FSA partner community.
The conference will take place December 14 through 16, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
Phase 2 removes the initial restriction of three representatives per institution, identified by its six digit OPEID. Additional institutional representatives, schools that missed Phase 1, state agencies, third party servicers, software vendors, community organizations, associations, advocacy organizations, and other FSA partners may now register.
Registration closes December 9, 2026, or when venue capacity is reached. If capacity is reached earlier, FSA will open a waitlist. As cancellations create space, people will be contacted in waitlist order and will have 48 hours to complete registration. Missed offers go to the next person. Late registrants rejoin the end of the waitlist if registration remains open.
