Amy Smith

Amy joined College Aid Services in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of experience in financial aid administration, compliance, enrollment management, and quality assurance. She currently serves as Senior Director of Enrollment Management Compliance at Sullivan University, where she oversees compliance initiatives and also serves as the university’s Ombudsman.

Throughout her career, Amy has held a variety of financial aid and leadership roles, including Financial Aid Counselor, Associate Director of Financial Aid, and Quality Assurance professional, before advancing into her current compliance-focused leadership role. Her extensive experience provides valuable insight into regulatory requirements, institutional operations, process improvement, and best practices in financial aid administration.

At College Aid Services, Amy assists colleges and universities with financial aid compliance, operational reviews, and comprehensive assessments designed to strengthen institutional effectiveness and support student success. She brings a strong commitment to compliance, collaboration, and supporting institutions in achieving effective and student-centered enrollment management practices.

Amy has been actively involved with the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA), serving in numerous leadership capacities, including committee chair roles, Proprietary Sector Representative, Vice President of Training, and currently as Conference Chair. Through these roles, she has contributed to professional development, training initiatives, and advocacy for financial aid professionals across the state. She is also a member of SASFAA and NASFAA.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Leadership and a Master of Science in Human Resource Leadership from Sullivan University.
