Anafe Robinson

Anafe joined College Aid Services in 2021 as a Senior Consultant, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in financial aid operations. With her extensive knowledge and experience, she is well-versed in various aspects of the field, including change management, financial literacy, interpreting state and federal regulations, budget planning and management, policy and procedure development, personnel supervision and training, and technology management.

As a valuable member of the College Aid Services team, Anafe offers her insights and problem-solving abilities to partner institutions. She assists in refining business processes and procedures and conducts thorough research to support institutions in achieving their financial aid objectives.

Anafe’s remarkable career in the financial aid profession spans over three decades, starting in 1989. Throughout her journey, she has demonstrated expertise in interpreting complex regulations, effectively managing budgets, developing and implementing policies and procedures, fostering collaboration with various departments and stakeholders, and overseeing personnel and technology management. Her exceptional skills and dedication have earned her recognition as a leader in the financial aid profession and the community college sector. Presently, she holds the position of Director of Financial Aid, Scholarships, Veterans & Foster Youth Programs at Pierce College.

Anafe’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional role. She actively volunteers in state and regional associations, taking on leadership roles and committee responsibilities. She has served as President and Vice President of the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA), as well as fulfilling various Committee Chair positions. Additionally, she has shared her expertise as a trainer for CASFAA and the Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (WASFAA). Anafe has also contributed as a representative for Region 7 in the California Community College Student Financial Aid Administrative Association (CCCSFAAA) and the CCCSFAAA Foster Youth Advisory Board.

Anafe earned an Associate of Arts degree from Los Angeles Pierce College in 1990, followed by a Bachelor in Business Administration in 1993, and a Master in Business Administration and Technology Management in 2000, both from the University of Phoenix.

Anafe is a NASFAA Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC®). She has also obtained NASFAA credentials in Administrative Capability, Application Process, Campus-Based Programs, Consumer Information, Cost of Attendance, Direct Loans, Need Analysis, Packaging and Notification of Awards, Professional Judgment, Return of Title IV Funds, Satisfactory Academic Progress, and Student Eligibility.
