Brenda Brown

Brenda joined College Aid Services in 2018 as a Senior Consultant, bringing with her a wealth of functional and technical expertise—affectionately known as “funky-tech” experience—to support clients. Her leadership and strategic acumen quickly propelled her into the role of Director of Business Development, making her an integral part of the College Aid Services leadership team. By December 2021, she was promoted to Vice President of Business Development, and in 2023, she transitioned into her current role as Vice President of Campus Partnerships.

In her current role, Brenda is dedicated to cultivating and sustaining strategic partnerships with the higher education institutions. She also leads talent acquisition efforts and manages the consulting staff. Additionally, Brenda oversees College Aid Services’ projects and works closely with the marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure organizational success.

Brenda’s distinguished career in higher education spans over 40 years, including nearly 35 years at the University of Miami. She began as a student assistant and advanced into key roles within undergraduate studies, overseeing enrollment, student records, and academic policies.

Transitioning into financial aid, Brenda served as a Financial Aid Advisor before taking on leadership roles, including Delivery and Scholarship Coordinator, multiple Assistant Director positions, and System Manager. She managed critical functions such as aid delivery, quality control, scholarships, compliance, and technology initiatives to enhance student services.

After 24 years, she moved to the School of Law, where she became Director of Financial Aid, streamlining processes and automating aid operations to improve student success. In 2015, she returned to the main campus as Director of Graduate and Professional Operations and was quickly promoted to Director of Strategic Initiatives. In this role, she collaborated with leadership and stakeholders to implement technology-driven strategies that optimized enrollment management, financial aid operations, and customer service.

Brenda is an active member of numerous professional associations at the national, regional, and state levels. She has served on Executive Boards, committees, and task forces, earning recognition from her peers for her service and significant contributions to the financial aid community.

Brenda holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Miami.
