David Dey II

David joined College Aid Services in 2023 as an Associate Consultant, bringing with him a wealth of financial aid knowledge and expertise. His primary focus is to support clients in achieving their goals and objectives by effectively delivering aid and fostering student success.

Prior to joining College Aid Services, David held the position of Associate Director of Financial Aid at Barnard College, as well as various roles at Columbia College, including Financial Aid Officer and Assistant Director of Financial Aid. These experiences have equipped him with a deep understanding of financial aid processes and the ability to provide valuable guidance to clients.

David possesses extensive proficiency in key systems such as PowerFAIDS, NSLDS, CPS, COD, and EdConnect. He is well-versed in all aspects of aid processing, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring accurate and efficient financial aid administration.

In addition to his technical expertise, David excels in providing comprehensive information to current students and prospective families regarding application procedures, aid eligibility, available programs, award disbursement, and financing options. He possesses a keen understanding of complex information, including policies and regulations, and takes pleasure in helping individuals navigate and comprehend these intricacies.

Recognizing the importance of fostering strong relationships across departments, David prioritizes building and maintaining quality connections with the clients he serves. He believes that collaboration and effective communication are vital components of success in the field of financial aid.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Hamilton College (2014) and a Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University (2017).
