Heather Askamit

Heather joined College Aid Services in 2020 as a Consultant, bringing her wealth of functional and technical expertise (“funky-tech”) to assist clients.

With her unique ability to communicate effectively with both functional and technical users, Heather fosters successful collaborations that utilize technology to support efficient aid delivery, ensure compliance, and enhance the overall student experience.

Her journey in the field began in 1996 when she assumed the role of Systems Specialist at Kent State University, where she started building her technical knowledge and honing her analytical skills. Following her tenure at Kent State, Heather joined Emory University as a functional financial aid consultant, where she took charge of managing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. This experience further solidified her expertise in higher education technology and business processes, encompassing key areas such as admissions, financial aid, registration, and student accounts.

Heather possesses a remarkable ability to provide functional and technical user systems training, equipping individuals with the necessary skills to navigate and utilize complex systems effectively. She is a multifaceted professional with a diverse skill set. Her abilities and expertise are a valuable resource to our clients where she provides interim staffing, technology solutions, and assessment services.

Heather received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Kent State University in 1994. She also has credits completed toward a Master of Public Administration at Kent State.
