Consultant
Leida Nieves joined College Aid Services as a Consultant in 2025. She brings extensive expertise in enrollment management and student support.
Since beginning her career in 2001 as a Financial Aid Specialist, Leida has held a wide range of roles—from Coordinator to Director of Financial Aid—across multiple institutions. Her professional journey also includes significant work in recruitment, retention, and academic advising, with a strong focus on supporting at-risk students in regaining academic standing.
Currently, as Coordinator of Academic Case Management at Flagler College, she supports at-risk students in regaining academic standing, drawing on her deep knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Previously, Leida served as Director of Financial Aid Services at Daytona State College, where she managed federal, state, and institutional funding, developed cost of attendance models, implemented packaging philosophies, led FAFSA Simplification training efforts, and oversaw GE/FVT reporting corrections.
Leida is proficient with several systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner, PowerFAIDS, Jenzabar, ELMOne, NextGen, Power BI, NSC, and Hyland OnBase, as well as many federal and state platforms.
She is an active member of several professional organizations, including NASFAA, FASFAA, NACADA, and AAUW.
Leida holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Southern New Hampshire University (2023).
