Michelle Bedford, Ed.D. joined College Aid Services in 2024 as a Consultant. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the clients she serves.

Michelle’s introduction to financial aid began when she took on the role of VA/Financial Aid Counselor at Clayton State University, where she excelled in assisting veterans and their dependents, an experience she found truly fulfilling. Later, as Interim Director of Financial Aid at Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC), she successfully guided the college through a comprehensive federal program review spanning three academic years.

This role deepened her understanding of compliance issues and solidified her passion for regulatory adherence in financial aid processes. Recognizing the importance of continuous education in navigating the complexities of federal aid programs, Michelle prioritized ongoing training for her team.

Her dedication to compliance and thorough training was further demonstrated when she became the Director of Financial Aid at Southern Crescent Technical College. Under her leadership, the college navigated multiple program reviews with minimal issues, showcasing her expertise and commitment.

Michelle is a NASFAA Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC©) and has earned NASFAA credentials in Satisfactory Academic Progress, Student Eligibility, and Application Process.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Studies (BA) from Clayton State University, a Master of Arts in Education from Central Michigan University, and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from Argosy University.
