FSA has released a September 2026 update to Volume 1 of the NSLDS Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) User Guide, which provides instructions for institutions submitting student level FVT/GE data to NSLDS.
The updated volume provides revised guidance for institutions submitting student level FVT/GE data to NSLDS. The September update includes changes related to the selection of reporting types, required columns for Annual Amount and Total Amount records, and several data elements that are now optional.
FSA also updated several figures and reporting layouts throughout the guide to reflect the revised requirements.
Institutions responsible for FVT/GE reporting should review the updated guide and, in particular, the Change Log at the beginning of Volume 1, which identifies the specific sections, pages, figures, and appendices revised as part of the September 2026 update.
The updated guide is available through the FSA Partner Connect Knowledge Center.
