Federal Student Aid (FSA) has announced that the 2026 FSA Training Conference for Financial Aid Professionals will be held December 14–16, 2026, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
The in-person conference will bring together financial aid professionals and FSA representatives for updates and discussions on issues affecting students, families, borrowers, and institutions of higher education.
The conference agenda is expected to include:
- The latest federal financial aid policy and operational updates
- Keynote addresses from U.S. Department of Education leaders
- General sessions covering key topics
- An FSA resource center
FSA noted that space may be limited and that it is developing a process for allocating seats to help ensure broad representation among partner institutions. A block of rooms will also be reserved for attendees at the Gaylord National Resort.
Registration details, lodging rates and reservation information, and additional conference details will be announced soon.
FSA also indicated that during the coming fiscal year, it plans to direct more resources toward developing its own FSA Training Conference programs rather than supporting attendance at external events. “Over the next fiscal year, we’ll be deliberately redeploying more of our resources toward building exceptional conference programs for the FSA Training Conference, rather than investing those resources in strengthening attendance at external events elsewhere.”
