FSA has announce the launch of real-time FASFA results for students and provides immediate visibility of processed ISIRs for financial aid administrators in the FAFSA Partner Portal.
What’s Changing for Students
As of May 31, 2026, students and contributors who sign and submit an initial application or correction of a 2025–26 or 2026–27 FAFSA form will receive their FAFSA Submission Summary in real-time.
This means that students will be able to view their confirmed Student Aid Index, Federal Pell Grant eligibility information, and any comment or reject codes immediately upon submission.
After the initial submission, students can make up to four corrections without waiting for the typical one-to-three day processing delay between transactions. This enhancement allows students to review and resolve issues more quickly and continue the financial aid process without delays associated with overnight processing cycles.
Not all Students will have Real-Time Results
Students that submit a fifth and subsequent corrections will experience a 24-hour hold period before they receive the results.
Veteran applicants will continue to experience the one-to-three day processing timeline while FSA finalizes real-time functionality for that population.
Students who submit a FAFSA form or correction during maintenance windows or system outages may also experience the one-to-three day processing timeline.
What’s Changing for Partners and Financial Aid Administrators
Financial aid administrators, state agencies, and other partners can now view processed 2025–26 and 2026–27 ISIR transactions for students immediately in the FAFSA Partner Portal.
As a result, partners can work with students to proceed more quickly with next steps in the financial aid process, including reviewing comments and advising students on outstanding issues, submitting corrections, packaging and disbursing aid, and supporting enrollment and aid-related decision making.
This enhancement is intended to reduce delays between FAFSA submission, processing, and institutional action.
There are no changes to ISIR file delivery methods or schedules at this time. Immediate visibility of processed transactions in the FAFSA Partner Portal will not impact current batch delivery schedules through the SAIG mailbox.
