FSA Workforce Pell Training

Federal Student Aid has announced the release of a new online, self-paced course about Workforce Pell.

The course provides an overview of Workforce Pell and the expanded opportunity for eligible students to use Federal Pell Grants for approved short-term workforce training programs. Participants will learn what makes a workforce program eligible, the state and U.S. Department of Education approval processes, requirements for maintaining eligibility, and how to award Workforce Pell to eligible students.

The Workforce Pell learning track also includes two additional systems-based trainings: one about managing workforce programs in the E-App on Partner Connect and one about classifying students as enrolled in eligible workforce programs in the FAFSA Partner Portal.

To access the training, log in to the FSA Training Center with your username and password. Select the “Statutory & Regulatory Updates” tile, then choose the link to the Workforce Pell learning track.

FSA also announced that future in-depth self-paced training courses about additional topics impacted by the OBBBA will be added to the FSA Training Center in the future.
